Emoji-obsessed Birthday for Autumn and Myelle
Being that their Mama is a party stylist, my twin girls live for their birthday parties. I'm not kidding. The planning of 'next year's' birthday starts a few weeks before 'this years' birthday has even happened.
This year Emojis were so popular, my (soon-to-be) 7 year-olds were ALL OVER THEM.
Here's a few pictures of the decor and dessert table we came up with, emoji style! Note: the wind was crazy on this day, hence our swooshing tassel garland.
Cake by: Zandy Cakes
Cupcakes and cookies: Grandma's Oven
We wanted all of the twins favourite emojis in the party, so we included the unicorn cupcakes (for their favourite unicorn emoji) and the cake replicating the crown or tiara emoji. Yas!
Macarons: Grandma's Oven
What's a party without cotton candy these days? Of course we had to call our girl Tracy from A Sweet Spin
Tracy has all kinds of flavours; we chose bubble gum (always a favourite), raspberry and pineapple... her cotton candy is made of organic sugar and all natural food flavours (and no colours). So like, basically it's **health food** Right?
We like to make sure all aspects of a backyard party like this are covered, so we scoped out some emoji (and all around bright and colourful) pool floaties and filled the pool UP.
And found this great emoji towel at Homesense - which served as a great spot to sit and eat or take a break from the pool action.
Above you'll see the custom wrapped (I'm joking about custom.... since I wanted to do most of the decorating for the party, I let my kids wrap these) emoji pillows that we found at Michaels Stores. Otherwise, there was no way I could set up this party for my own littles if I didn't keep those hands busy.
And bubbles, what's a summer party without bubbles?
Thanks to Bubbly Canada (our supplier for custom big balloons) for helping us bring to life these hashtag balloons we came up with.
Hope you dig this party as much as I do. Thanks to Jen, our Party Stylist, for her help setting up.
Thanks as always for stopping in,
